Part 7: Muteserker

Zerky! the Omniserker

Part 6 - Muteserker

Galuf had to go. His planet needed him.

Note: Galuf remained dead on the way to his home planet.

What.

Also Christmas exists in FF5 world.

You can tackle the bosses in any order. I tackle the two that won't be an issue to a L43 character with buckets of HP and high defense.

For this boss, I went with the Blitz Whip because this boss is susceptible to paralysis and at the time I didn't know the Blitz Whip didn't proc paralysis. Oh well, I'm L43 so I give no fucks.

code:

Titan (Human, Heavy)
HP: 2500
Absorbs Earth.
Vulnerable to Paralyze, Stop, Slow.

AI Script:
AI SCRIPT:
{Fight,Fight,Specialty}
{Fight,Earth Shaker,Specialty}
React:Death{
     Earth Shaker
     }

Titan can be scary for full teams because his Earth Shaker does large group-wide damage. Solo characters simply have more HP due to the extra levels they gain from all the extra EXP, and even the lower-HP jobs like Dancer and Bard can get around that by confusing Gaelicats for Float. So Titan's the easiest of the trio for the vast majority of boss fights.

Especially for Zerky!

Even his final Earth Shaker is laughed off.

I go dual-sickle for this guy.

code:

Manticore
HP: 3300
Absorbs Ice.
Vulnerable to Death, Stone, Poison, Blind, Old, Berserk, Silence, Stop, Slow.

AI SCRIPT:
{AquaRake,Fight,Specialty}
{AquaRake,Blaze,Blaze}

Manticore is pretty simple, alternating between physical attacks and Blaze, which does ice damage and inflicts HP Sap. Aqua Rake can also be a pain.

I hope you noticed the vulnerability to instant death. Zerky! certainly did.

Again, those two bosses are a non-issue. The next one varies depending on the jobs available, and in Zerky!'s case he's in the worst possible job you can be to fight them.

code:

Purobolos
HP: 1500
MP: 100
Vulnerable to Death, Stone, Poison, Blind, Old, Sleep, Berserk, Silence, Stop, Slow.

AI Script:
Nothing,Nothing
{Fight,Specialty,Exploder}
React:Death{
     Change Target:All Dead Enemies
     Life2
     }
React:Summon Magic{
     Change Target:Self
     Cure2
     }

These guys are a major pain for any solo character that can't do relaible group-wide damage. Throw in an inability to choose your target and they get very scary.

They do nothing for two rounds, then either do a physical attack or Exploder. Exploder does damage equal to the user's current HP. This is usually 1500HP, two of which will kill Zerky!. Scary, but easily brute forcable. Their summon counter is also irrelevant for us for obvious reasons.

The big issue with these guys is their death reaction. They cast Arise on every enemy. This revives all enemies at full health. Fortunately, their MP is still spent so theoretically Zerky! can kill them all until they all run out of MP. Theoretically. In actuality, Zerky! will be paste before that happens.

These guys should be a huge roadblock for Berserkers. They aren't because Sandworm and Soul Cannon are significantly bigger road blocks. Sulla breezed through these guys simply from his crazy-high levels while OFS had two extra bodies to take hits. What I have though is adaptability, and of course there is a solution to this.

Dual-Wield Mage Mashers. One Mage Masher has a 33% chance to proc Silence, which will prevent the Arise counter. Alright odds, but pretty unreliable against six enemies. Two boosts that to a 5/9 chance of triggering at least one proc. A favorable improvement.

Zerky! can kill any one of the three front-row 'bolos in one attack, though the back row needs two attacks.

This is something that probably should've taken tens of tries, but I get pretty lucky and manage to finish them off in only a few attempts.

It's no Sandworm, but I was happy with the results.

Now, before I go...

I totally expect there to be ninety-nine occurrences where Zerky! is toaded and still wins the battle and not have any MP to cast Toad on himself.

He's not there, Zerky!. He's in some pirate cave. Jeez, you're an idiot.

It's a good thing you can fly at least.

Next time, I clean Gilgamesh's clock with a L1 Berserker Galuf.
